It’s been four months since we tragically lost Jason Los, and like all of you we miss him immensely. They say time heals all wounds, but it will take a tremendous amount of time before we feel any relief from his passing.
Jason was a wonderful husband and father, and an amazing friend. Many of us became good friends through Jason, with some of us becoming friends because of Jason’s passing. Even in death, he was a connector who was responsible for starting many long-lasting friendships.
Jason was very active in the community and could always be found volunteering at his children’s school, with youth sports, in his professional circle, and within the Baltimore Filipino community. The community and organizations that he served have been greatly impacted by his loss.
We want his legacy of service to continue therefore we have established the Jason Los Foundation (JLF). The mission of the JLF is to empower youth who demonstrate character through service and provide a community for those experiencing the loss of loved ones.
Our goal is to:
- Promote the development of young leaders who emulate Jason’s character and values, through scholarships and training opportunities
- Provide support to families that have experienced sudden loss, just as how Jason’s friend and professional networks supported his family in their time of need
- Establish a healing community for those impacted by the loss of loved ones
- Keep the memory of Jason alive by sustaining the vast friendship network that he built throughout his life
- Make the community and world a better place, just as Jason would do if he were still with us today
